It represents the interests of approximately 66,000 lawyers, judges, law professors, and law students. The NBA is organized around 23 substantive law sections, 10 divisions, 12 regions, and over 80 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and around the world.

The National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division (“WLD”) was founded in 1972 as a sub-part of the National Bar Association. The WLD’s membership includes both women and men and represents every sector of the legal community, including private practitioners from firms of every size and specialty, professors, judges, law clerks, corporate counsel, prosecutors, government lawyers, and law students. A champion for women issues, the Women Lawyers Division was established to address issues important to the community we serve and to women in particular.
