Blank Rome LLP Partner Michael I. Sanders will present the Georgetown Law Tax LL.M. Special Topics in Exempt Organizations class being held Tuesday, April 14, 2020, as a live webinar.
This will be a special class focused on how nonprofit organizations can find new sources of financing in the current economic climate.
Speakers will present the story of how a private law firm’s pro bono program started a nonprofit with the mission of environmental justice in Washington, D.C., New Partners Community Solar and how pro bono lawyers helped bring in financing to create the first community solar project that is giving away all solar energy produced to low-income families in D.C.
In addition, there will be a discussion about new sources of financing that can be tapped by nonprofits across the country that they may not be aware of—including from the new economic stimulus law passed by Congress.
