Shareholder Environmental Activism: Companies Panel

Blank Rome Partner Yelena M. Barychev will be a presenter at the 2020 Villanova Environmental Law Journal Blank Rome LLP Symposium, which will be held on February 7, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. This year’s symposium topic is “Shareholder Environmental Activism.”

At this symposium, representatives from shareholder activist groups, advisers, companies, attorneys, and academics will discuss the use of shareholder proposals to advance environmental objectives, including the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed new amendments to Exchange Act Rule 14a-8, the regulation that governs the process for shareholder proposals to be included in a publicly traded company’s proxy statement.

Yelena will participate in the “Companies Panel,” taking place from 11:00 to 11:50 a.m. The discussion will be moderated by Todd Aagaard, Professor of Law, Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
