Blank Rome partner Peter S. Weissman will serve as a speaker for the Institute of Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia’s (“IPTA”) Patent Drafting Masterclass, being held November 13 through 14, 2025, in Melbourne, Australia, and November 17 through 18 in Sydney, Australia.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Court’s approach to claim interpretation has changed in recent times and practitioners will need to adapt their drafting to take this into account. This Patent Drafting Masterclass will feature experienced patent drafting professionals from Australia, Europe, and the United States in the fields of mechanical, chemical/life sciences, and electrical/computing technologies. The Masterclass is intended to provide experienced patent attorneys (with five or more years’ drafting experience) with practical guidance and insights into best-practice drafting for Australia and some of its major trading partners. The program will include presentations, panel discussions, technology-specific small group meetings, and a patent drafting exercise.
Peter will speak at five sessions over the course of the four-day program.
