Only in America—A Celebration of Jewish American Heritage

In recognition of Jewish American Heritage Month, Blank Rome LLP hosted an exclusive virtual event in partnership with the National Museum of American Jewish History, on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The program featured timely remarks by Holly Huffnagle, U.S. Director for Combating Antisemitism of the American Jewish Committee. Holly discussed the rise of antisemitism in America and how we as a society can address it through increasing education and legislation and building coalitions and bridges through our many communities. She also emphasized that it is important to talk about, and reflect on, the Holocaust and the significant contributions of Jewish Americans to our country. Links to Holly’s full remarks along with a special virtual tour of the “Only in America” Gallery at the National Museum of American Jewish History are available below.

Blank Rome was formed 75 years ago by attorneys who, because of their religion, were barred from joining many established law firms. Our founders did not stand idly by in the face of discrimination, but instead stood up and took action to create a firm where people of diverse backgrounds could gather together to practice law. As anti-Semitic acts are increasing in America, our firm continues to stand against antisemitism and reaffirms our core value and founding principle – an unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion.
