Nuts and Bolts of Practice before the Third Circuit

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen M. Orlofsky will be a panelist at the New Jersey State Bar Association's annual meeting on May 22, at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City. The panel, "Nuts and Bolts of Practice Before the Third Circuit," will address the basics of appellate advocacy, including effective brief writing and oral argument.   The panel is sponsored by the recently formed Bar Association of the Third Federal Circuit, in which Mr. Orlofsky serves as an officer, the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, and the Federal Practice Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

At Blank Rome, Mr. Orlofsky concentrates his practice in the areas of complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution.  He counsels clients throughout the United States in federal and state civil and criminal courts, both at the appellate and trial level.

Mr. Orlofsky has a long-standing commitment to the legal profession, and has served in a variety of pro bono roles.  He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Legal Services of New Jersey, Inc., a non-profit organization, which provides legal services to indigent clients throughout the state of New Jersey. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program (NJLAP), a program that provides free, confidential, professional  assistance to attorneys, members of the judiciary, law students, and law school graduates on a wide range of concerns and problems.
