Movements throughout Time—How Black Social Justice Movements Shaped D.C. Culture

On March 15, 2022, Blank Rome partners, associates, and staff partnered with Bank of America to host “Movements throughout Time—How Black Social Justice Movements Shaped D.C. Culture,” a powerful and palpable Black history exhibition, highlighting historical social justice movements in Washington, D.C. Blank Rome partner Saminaz Akhter opened her home for this special event, which she co-hosted with associate Lamiya H. Rahman.

Clients, friends of the firm, and colleagues attended and had the opportunity learn about historical social justice movements in Washington, D.C. The Blank Rome contributing curators and presenters included Brett A. Snyder, Gabrielle C. Phillips, Justin A. Chiarodo, Jason R. Eig, Karyn Cleveland-Barnes, and Robyn N. Burrows.
