New York, NY

Blank Rome Partners Caroline Krauss-Browne and Marilyn B. Chinitz will host “Meet the Authors: Dr. Dale Atkins & Amanda R. Salzhauer, MSW” at Blank Rome’s New York office on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., where they will discuss cultivating compassionate and connected children.

In homes and school communities nationwide, there is re-energized interest in the values of community, compassion, and tolerance, and in finding our way to a kinder culture. The Kindness Advantage: Cultivating Compassionate and Connected Children is a practical and concrete guide for parents and grandparents to equip children with the essential skills to have a positive influence on the world. It’s never too early to start a child on a path of fulfillment through meaningful connection with others. Designed to be read with children as young as four, the book presents 10 fundamental concepts to weave into daily life.

Dale V. Atkins, PhD, is a frequent guest psychologist on NBC’s TODAY and many other TV and radio shows. She is a licensed psychologist practicing in New York City with more than 40 years of experience as a relationship expert focusing on families, wellness, managing stress, and living a balanced, meaningful life. The Kindness Advantage is her seventh book.

Amanda R. Salzhauer, MSW has spent many years as a social worker in clinics and private practice, which has given her a deep understanding of children, family, and community dynamics. In addition to her field experience cultivating one-on-one relationships, she has been a force for progress through her participation as a board member of several leading non-profit organizations.
