Blank Rome Partner Sean R. Weissbart will speak at the New York State Society of CPAs (“NYSSCPA”) Foundation for Accounting Education program Exempt Organizations Conference Webcast Part 2: Understanding the Latest Challenges and Opportunities Facing Exempt Organizations, being held online on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from 8:20 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. EST.
Sean’s session will take place from 4:10 to 5:00 p.m. EST and he will take a deep dive into a not-for-profit organization’s lifecycle, including formation, merging, and dissolution. Sean will also discuss disaster-relief charities, online filings of Form 1023, and timing for IRS approval. Where applicable, he will address these issues under state and federal law.
