Blank Rome partner Hussein Akhavannik will serve as a presenter for the New York City Bar Association City Bar Justice Center Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project’s (“NELP”) Intellectual Property Basics legal presentation, being held virtually on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. EDT. The program is presented in partnership with the Brooklyn Public Library Business & Career Center and Pace University Small Business Development Center.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Whether an entrepreneur, artist, writer, or musician, you may be able to claim ownership of your idea or work. This presentation will provide small business owners with an overview of intellectual property (“IP”) rights through a discussion of trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents. The webinar will delve into the process of obtaining legally recognized IP protections as well as discuss common IP pitfalls for micro-entrepreneurs.
