ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Passport to Proficiency in Economic Sanctions, scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in March, has been designed to immerse those that are new to the economic sanctions space and to provide timely, in-depth coverage on the latest developments for those who are seasoned sanctions professionals. Throughout this masterclass, attendees will learn from an instructor faculty drawn from a variety of industries along with the best of the sanctions bar.
Anthony’s session, “The Essentials to an Effective Global Sanctions Compliance Program: Lessons Learned from Key and Recent Enforcement Actions,” will take place on Thursday, March 20, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. EDT.
ABOUT THE SESSION
Understanding sanctions enforcement is critical for developing and strengthening an effective global sanctions compliance program. Experienced instructors will unpack the essentials of U.S. sanctions enforcement, including the decision to voluntarily disclose to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), the potential consequences of an OFAC enforcement action, and key lessons from recent cases. The instructors will present a series of hypothetical scenarios to help apply and understand voluntary self-disclosure best practices. At the end of this module, they will provide additional clarification and guidance and take questions.
