Blank Rome is proud to be a sponsor of “Black Lawyers Matter: Strategies to Enhance Diversity and Inclusion,” a virtual conference hosted by the University of Houston Law Center and Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
The conference, which will be held Friday, October 30, 2020, from 8:15 a.m.–6:00 p.m. CDT, will feature Keynote Speaker David B. Wilkins, Lester Kissel Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and will look at the important issues surrounding Black representation in the legal profession, including:
- How do we increase the pipeline of Black students applying to law schools, and better support them once they arrive?
- How can we better support our historically Black law schools?
- How do we increase hiring, retention, and success of Black attorneys throughout the legal profession?
