Blank Rome partner Stephanie M. Harden will serve as panel moderator at the American Bar Association (“ABA”) Section of Public Contract Law’s (“PCL”) 2025 Public Contract Law Committee Showcase, being held in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:45 p.m., with a reception to follow. The panel was organized by Stephanie, who is a co-chair of the ABA PCL Accounting, Cost and Pricing Committee, and Jennifer A. Short, a co-chair of the ABA PCL Procurement Fraud and False Claims Committee. Blank Rome is pleased to be an annual sponsor of the ABA Public Contract Law Section.

ABOUT THE SESSION

This panel will draw upon lessons learned during the pandemic and other times of shifting government policies and programs to discuss practices that might be applied to current and anticipated executive orders, contract modifications, and rule changes under the new administration. Topics include:

  • How companies can best manage enforcement risk, capture and characterize activities, and costs so as to serve their customers, protect their businesses, and ensure compliant practices in a fast-moving environment
  • Efforts companies should they take to track their efforts to understand and apply new directives
  • How companies might resolve any potential tensions between U.S. government objectives and internal corporate philosophies and goals
