Vanderbilt University Law School

Online Event

Blank Rome Partner Hollis L. Hyans and Of Counsel Matthew F. Cammarata will speak at Vanderbilt University Law School’s 27th Annual Paul J. Hartman State & Local Tax Forum, being held October 26 through 28, 2020, as a virtual, online event.

Matthew’s session, “Perspectives on Taxing the Sharing Economy,” will take place Monday, October 26, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. EST, and will cover the various approaches states have taken to taxing limited-right-to-use tangible personal property, including recent legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments. He will be joined on the panel by Jackie Orea, Managing Director, Andersen Tax LLC, and Erich Tschopp, Director, Global Indirect Tax, Airbnb.

Holly, a member of the forum advisory board, will speak at one of the State and Local Tax (“SALT”) Forum sessions, “Top Ten Income Tax Cases,” on Tuesday, October 27, also from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. EST. Panelists in this returning session will cover the top ten cases that all SALT professionals should be watching and offer insights on the issues that are likely to dominate in the coming year.

The forum provides industry, practitioners, and state revenue employees the opportunity to participate in a quality forum exploring significant national developments and trends in state and local taxation. This year’s virtual program will offer two concurrent sessions on October 26 followed by two days of afternoon sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, providing engaging programming with the opportunity to obtain up to 9 hours of CLE and 10.8 hours of CPE credit.

Blank Rome is pleased to be a Gold Level sponsor of the conference.
