Blank Rome Successfully Represents Taurean General Services, Inc. in Bid Protest before GAO

A Blank Rome team successfully represented Taurean General Services, Inc. (“Taurean”) in a bid protest before the Government Accountability Office.

Taurean protested an Army solicitation for security services, which was set aside for small, disadvantaged concerns under the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program. Despite being set aside for 8(a) firms, the Army’s evaluation criteria substantially limited the ability of 8(a) firms like Taurean to fairly compete. In response to Taurean’s protest, the Army took corrective action as to all protest grounds and amended the solicitation to remove unreasonably restrictive criteria, thereby allowing Taurean to compete.

The Blank Rome team included Dominique Casimir and Robyn Burrows.
