A Blank Rome team represented the Hunter S. Thompson Estate and the Gonzo Trust—the rights holders for the late American journalist and author who was best known as the pioneer of gonzo journalism—in their business dealings with the producers of the play titled The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical. Originally launched in San Diego, California, the play is now on stage just outside Washington, D.C., at the Signature Theater in Arlington, Virginia.
The rock ‘n’ roll musical explores the legacy of Hunter Thompson as he cultivated gonzo-style journalism, refraining from objectivity and inserting his subjective view into every story.
