Blank Rome Pro Bono Team Receives First Judicial District Distinguished Pro Bono Award

Blank Rome’s Dan Rhynhart, Rosemary McKenna, Antonio Burrell, Naomi Zwillenberg, and Jared DeBona were recently presented with the First Judicial District Distinguished Pro Bono Award in recognition of their pro bono representation of an 88-year-old World War II veteran, in a case that has been ongoing for more than two years, spanning both criminal and civil actions. The Blank Rome team was nominated for this award by the SeniorLAW Center, a nonprofit organization that improves the lives of older Pennsylvanians and protects their rights through legal representation, education, and advocacy.

The First Judicial District Distinguished Pro Bono Award recognizes the importance of performing pro bono work in order to ensure justice for the citizens of Philadelphia, as well as honors the tremendous effort that many attorneys expend in providing pro bono services to litigants in the Court of Common Pleas or Municipal Court.
