Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Kevin J. Bruno has joined the Firm’s Princeton, NJ office as a partner in the Corporate Litigation group, bringing significant environmental litigation experience to the Firm. Mr. Bruno joins from Robertson, Freilich, Bruno & Cohen, LLC, where he was a founding partner, and brings with him an associate, Kevin R. Doherty.

Buchholz, Managing Partner and CEO. “He is a highly-regarded litigator with more than 25 years of litigation experience in the environmental and insurance arenas and will be an excellent addition to our well-established national litigation team and growing Princeton office.”

Mr. Bruno focuses his practice on environmental and insurance matters. He has extensive experience defending clients against lawsuits brought by the government regarding state and federal environmental programs, including CERCLA, RCRA and TSCA. He represents a wide variety of clients in connection with private-party cost recovery actions, alleged violations of the Clean Water Act and internal environmental audits and investigations. Mr. Bruno also represents policyholders throughout the U.S. in complex environmental insurance coverage litigation.

Mr. Bruno is an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He is a member of the American Bar Association, including the ABA’s Section of Litigation where he is Chair of the Environmental Litigation Committee, and the Section of Environment, Energy and Resources. He is also the Section of Litigation’s liaison to the ABA’s Standing Committee on Environmental Law. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, Mr. Bruno received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law - Newark and his Bachelor of Arts, with high honors, from Rutgers University.

Kevin Doherty focuses his practice on complex litigation, with specific experience in the areas of contract disputes, insurance recovery, intellectual property, environmental, employment and collection. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, a Junior Board Member of StreetWise Partners and a Young Benefactors Committee Member of Love Our Children USA. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, Mr. Doherty received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law where he was President of the Corporate Law Association and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Bucknell University.
