Christopher A. Lewis serves as the Firm’s Chief Officer of Diversity and Inclusion (CDO) and Chair of the Firm’s Diversity Committee. 

As CDO, Mr. Lewis leads and manages all aspects of Blank Rome’s diversity and inclusion program, including the implementation and execution of the Firm’s diversity plan, coordination of diversity activities and events, integration of diversity into the Firm’s business plan, and communication on diversity and inclusion both internally and externally.  In addition, Mr. Lewis works closely with the Diversity Committee to identify and implement best practices in the area of recruiting and training of a diverse workforce while maintaining an environment of inclusion.

Mr. Lewis concentrates his practice in commercial and administrative litigation for regulated industries, representing clients chiefly in the energy and insurance industries.  His practice focuses on promotion of competitive wholesale and retail energy markets, Marcellus Shale issues, regulatory compliance, and business and contractual disputes.

Mr. Lewis serves as Chairman of the Philadelphia Energy Authority.  He was formerly the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Chairman of Pennsylvania’s Judicial Conduct Board.

Mr. Lewis is actively involved in the Philadelphia business community as an advocate on behalf of minority business enterprises. He is a member of the Minority Angel Investor Network organized by Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, an advisor to the African American Chamber of Commerce, a member of the board and Blank Rome representative to the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, and a member of The Forum for a Better Pennsylvania.  Mr. Lewis is a member of the Council of Trustees of West Chester University and is also a director of Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education.

In 2012 Mr. Lewis received a Multicultural Leadership Award from the National Diversity Council at the Philadelphia Diversity & Leadership Conference.  Mr. Lewis was also recognized as a 2011 Minority Business Leader by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
