John Sperger has more than 18 years of administrative experience at Blank Rome LLP. He serves as the Firm Secretary working with the Chairman and Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer and other officers on governance, organization and communication issues. In addition to his responsibilities as Firm Secretary, he works with the General Counsel on risk management issues. He also is involved in the Firm’s China program.
Before joining Blank Rome LLP, he was the Corporate Secretary of Midlantic Corporation, a $14 billion regional banking company acquired by PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. In addition to serving as Corporate Secretary of Midlantic, he was responsible for the administrative functions of the Bank’s legal department. He also handled regulatory compliance during the Bank’s financial difficulties, developed strategic and communications plans, and was a member of the team that reorganized Midlantic, producing over $100 million in expense savings.
John earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brown University and his MBA from Temple University.
