Cheryl Chang Named “Woman of Promise” by Comerica Bank Women’s Business Awards Program

Blank Rome Partner Cheryl Chang was recognized as a “Woman of Promise” by the Comerica Bank Women’s Business Awards Program, presented in conjunction with the Los Angeles Lakers, at the Lakers game on Tuesday, March 28. The “Woman of Promise” award is a tribute to women who are rising stars in their chosen field or industry. A week later, on April 7, Blank Rome Partner Ana Tagvoryan also received the "Woman of Promise" award, marking the second female attorney in Blank Rome's LA office to receive this prestigious award.

While receiving her award, Ms. Chang was noted for her “excellent customer service and leading by example” and that “what sets her apart is her ability to see legal issues and business decisions from her clients’ point of view.” She was also promoted for her commitment to “encouraging the growth of diverse and female attorneys.”

The Women’s Business Awards Program recognizes women in leadership in Southern California based on five distinct categories: Woman of Entrepreneurship, Woman of Business, Woman of Philanthropy, Woman of Diversity, and Woman of Promise. Honorees are recognized on court at a Lakers game. For more information on this program, please click here.

Ms. Chang has also held several events with general counsel and in-house counsel, inviting them to speak at Blank Rome about diversity in the legal industry. In addition to being listed as a “Los Angeles Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers, Ms. Chang was selected as a “Rising Star of the Year” finalist in the “Women Making A Difference 2015” ranking by the Los Angeles Business Journal and named a “Rising Star” by Law360 and Los Angeles Magazine.
