Blank Rome Honored by Human Rights First for Outstanding Dedication to Pro Bono Service

Blank Rome LLP was presented with the “Marvin Frankel Award” at the Human Rights First Award Dinner on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Pier Sixty in New York City.

The Marvin Frankel Award was established in 2002 to honor the memory of the longtime chairman and to recognize law firms that exemplify Judge Frankel’s extraordinary dedication to human rights and commitment to pro bono service. This year’s honorees have done outstanding work on behalf of refugees, helping to set the bar for others to follow.

Blank Rome Senior Counsel Michael Joseph accepted the award on behalf of the Firm. Actively involved with Human Rights First, Mr. Joseph has worked on many pro bono cases with the assistance of Blank Rome attorneys.

Human Rights First released a video promoting the pro bono work of this year’s recipients, which includes Mr. Joseph discussing his first asylum client six years ago.
