Blank Rome Professionals Recognized for Outstanding Commitment to Promoting Diversity
In honor of Black History Month, Blank Rome presented its Second Annual Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones Diversity Award to Candace Childress and Wayne Streibich.
This Award is presented to a Blank Rome attorney or professional who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting diversity within the Firm. Judge Nathaniel R. Jones, for whom the award is named, served on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as General Counsel to the NAACP. He joined Blank Rome in 2002 as Of Counsel and became the Firm’s first Chief Officer of Diversity and Inclusion in 2006.
Ms. Childress, who serves as the office administrator for the Firm’s Houston office, has been selfless in directing Blank Rome's programs in Houston to increase diversity, heighten understanding among communities, and assist at-risk youth. She is also a member of the Firm's Professional Staff Diversity Committee.
Mr. Streibich is chair of the Blank Rome’s Consumer Financial Services group. He joined Blank Rome in 2011 and has led the tremendous growth of the Firm's consumer finance practice. Along the way, he has recruited—and retained—an extraordinary group of talented attorneys whose diversity reflects Blank Rome's core values.
