Blank Rome Represents Chiquita Brands International – Precedential Opinion
Blank Rome represented Chiquita Brands International and several of its related companies in obtaining a dismissal with prejudice in Delaware based on the First Filed Rule and for lack of personal jurisdiction. The Third Circuit upheld both aspects of the ruling in a precedential opinion which brought to close a series of litigations that Chiquita and many in the international fruit industry have been defending for nearly 30 years.
