Blank Rome Represents George Comfort & Sons in Lease to WNET
Blank Rome represented George Comfort & Sons Inc., the landlord, in a lease agreement with WNET for the public broadcaster’s new headquarters at 825 Eighth Ave., known as Worldwide Plaza.
WNET’s new 16-year lease will cover workspace on two floors, amounting to 95,000 square feet and 7,000 square feet on the concourse level.
Built in 1989, the 49-story, 1.8-million-square-foot World Plaza stretches the entire block between 49th and 50th streets. The high-rise has three separate lobbies, and underground parking garage and a freight loading dock.
