Blank Rome Partner Chris Lewis, who serves as the Firm’s chief officer of diversity and inclusion, as well as Partners Sophia Lee, Amy Joseph Coles, Brian Paszamant, and Mary Vidas served as speakers at the Pennsylvania Diversity Council’s 8th Annual Philadelphia Diversity & Leadership Conference. The conference was held on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue.

This year themed "Fostering Equity through Inclusion," the annual event is held to educate and create local dialogue on diversity and inclusion and to celebrate the wide array of differences in our communities. Ms. Lee spoke on the panel, "Leadership: How to Inspire, Influence & Achieve Results," held from 10:10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.; Ms. Cole and Mr. Paszamant spoke on the panel, “Millennials and the Workplace," held from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.; and Mr. Lewis spoke on the panel, “Unwritten Rules of Corporate America,” held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Film Director Spike Lee delivered the keynote address at the Leadership Excellence Luncheon, where Mr. Paszamant was presented with a Leadership Excellence Award. Ms. Vidas was also honored at the conference with the Most Powerful and Influential Women Award.
