The Venture Fair is a full-day event that allows companies to present their healthcare IT solutions to an audience of leading venture capital firms, private equity firms, investment bankers, Wall Street analysts, and other financial industry leaders. The event precedes the formal start of the 2008 HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition, the largest industry conference for health IT in the world, which draws over 24,000 attendees and 900 corporate exhibitors for educational programming, exhibitions, and networking events.

As part of the selection process, emerging companies will:

• Be seeking investment between $500,000 and $10 million;
• Show how they provide an adequate ROI or liquidity event for the investors; and
• Have at least two years of experience and contracts yielding a consistent revenue stream from healthcare IT products and services.
