Blank Rome's Steven Shoumer Welcomed to the American College of Mortgage Attorneys Fellowship

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Steven A. Shoumer, a partner in the Firm’s Real Estate group, has been inducted as a Fellow to the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (“ACMA”).

The 2017 Class of Fellows is comprised of 13 attorneys who have distinguished themselves as practitioners in the field of real estate mortgage law through their skills and practice experience, bar association activities, lecturing, authoring articles and program materials, participation in the legislative process, and writing briefs or arguing cases that are significant to mortgage transactions.

Formed in 1974, ACMA is comprised of more than 400 attorneys in North America who are experts in mortgage law. The Fellows, each selected by ACMA Officers and a Board of Regents, share a commitment to giving back to their profession, improving and reforming laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions, and raising the level of professionalism of lawyers practicing in this area. Mr. Shoumer concentrates his national practice in all aspects of real estate development, where he counsels financial institutions, private equity funds, real estate developers, institutional landlords, commercial tenants, and public companies. He is a member of the Firm’s Recruiting and Retention Committee, Finance Committee, and Technology Committee, and previously served as co-chair of the Firm’s Summer Program. Active in the community, Mr. Shoumer also serves on the board of directors for Philadelphia VIP and Ryan’s Case for Smiles.
