Blank Rome’s Leslie Corwin to Participate in Aspen Institute’s 2017 Justice & Society Seminar
November 11, 2016
Blank Rome LLP Partner Les Corwin will participate in the Aspen Institute’s 2017 Justice & Society Seminar, which will be held July 6-12, in Aspen, Colorado. This annual seminar, co-founded by the late Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun, is comprised of only 20 participants per year, by invitation only. Seminar participants are distinguished individuals chosen from various fields who bring a wealth of personal and professional experience to the discussion; they are often leaders in their respective communities who are engaged in discussing the values and ideals that guide their work.
The 2017 Justice & Society Seminar will be moderated by Dean Robert Post and Professor Reva Siegel of Yale Law School, and Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Participants will focus on the conceptions of justice and how a just society should deal with issues such as private conduct and public mores, economic disparities, equality, and the breakdown of long-established hierarchies of race and gender, as well as the contours of justice in the international sphere.
