Press Release
Blank Rome Government Relations LLC announced today that Ashley Davis, former Special Assistant to Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge, has joined Blank Rome as a member of the firm's Government Relations practice group. Davis joins the firm as a lobbyist and is based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office.
"As we continue to build our Government Relations practice, Ashley will prove to be a tremendous asset to our team," said David Girard-diCarlo, Chairman, Blank Rome LLP. "We look forward to drawing from her experience to assist in the expansion of our Homeland Security Practice and our Pennsylvania base."
"I have had the great privilege of having been able to serve President Bush and Governor Ridge, and I am now excited to join such a well-respected firm, including former colleagues Mark Holman and Carl Buchholz," said Davis. "Blank Rome's Government Relations practice is a great fit for me. I look forward to this opportunity."
Davis departs the White House Office of Homeland Security, where she served since October 2001. Prior to joining the White House Office of Homeland Security, Davis served as the White House Deputy Director of Management and Administration. She first joined the White House staff as a member of the Bush-Cheney transition team in December 2000, after working on the Republican National Convention, Bush for President in Pennsylvania, and on the Florida recount.
Prior to joining the White House, Davis was a Senior Associate at Greenlee Partners, LLC, in Harrisburg, PA, where she worked on both national and statewide fundraising initiatives. She also served as a lobbyist on behalf of clients such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the City of Philadelphia; and worked on campaigns for Governor Ridge and U.S. Senator Rick Santorum.
Davis graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations in 1997.
