Recent Engagements

  • Assisted chemical manufacturers, oil refiners, pipeline operators, and other manufacturers in responding to federal and state inquiries or alleged environmental violations, and conducted related internal investigations.
  • Representation of a private international chemical conglomerate in  evaluations of compliance with state and federal environmental laws  for the purpose of providing advice with respect to self-disclosure of violations  and EPA's environmental audit policy.
  • Representation of several chemical companies with corporate internal investigations related to a evaluation of potential civil and criminal liability under state and federal environmental laws.
  • Provide all aspects of corporate and transactional  counsel to a privately held global chemicals manufacturer in connection with the Bankruptcy Court's auction of  assets  owned by an  international  publicly traded chemical  company.
  • Served as transactional counsel to a global  chemical manufacturer in connection with the purchase of assets and the negotiation of a lease at a RCRA  TSD  in New Jersey which  was also subject to New Jersey's ISRA requirements.
  • Assisted U.S. based chemical company  with respect to REACH requirements  and compliance.
  • Drafted contracts for the supply and distribution of chemicals  through international markets.
  • Provided counsel  to domestic chemical manufacturer  subject to  ongoing Clean Air Act and  RCRA criminal investigations by the New Jersey's Attorney General's Office. 
  • Prosecuted indemnification claims  for environmental  matters in  federal district court against a multi-national chemical conglomerate by another chemical company that bought numerous  global assets from one division.
  • Represented a global chemical manufacturer in connection with PCB contamination and required remediation under TSCA.

RECOGNITION

The group includes former trial attorneys from the Department of Justice, former officials of the Environmental Protection Agency, and former assistant United States attorneys. Members of the group write, lecture, and teach on environmental law topics. They have been as industry legal service provider leaders in the International Who’s Who of Environment Lawyers.
