Dylan Mitchell has more than 13 years of extensive experience advising clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including:
- prenuptial agreements
- custody, access and relocation issues
- divorce negotiation and litigation
- equitable distribution, spousal and child support, and related ancillary issues
- paternity proceedings
- divorce mediation
Mr. Mitchell has regularly represented high net worth clients in matrimonial disputes involving multi-million dollar marital estates. He has achieved favorable resolutions for his clients through litigation as well as negotiated settlements.
He graduated from the Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section, in 2006.
Mr. Mitchell recently lectured at a New York State Bar Association CLE seminar entitled “Practical Skills – Family Court Practice – Custody.” As in 2007, he recently lectured at and also served as a panelist for the New York State Bar Association “Practical Skills: Basic Matrimonial Practice” seminar, where he spoke on temporary support and custody, temporary attorney fees, expert fees, appraisal fees, and other topics. Mr. Mitchell recently participated in a Family Law Symposium at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
Mr. Mitchell has received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Mitchell is a member of the Executive Committee and Co-chair of the Membership Committee of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, and is a member of the Matrimonial Committee of The Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
