Nadia Darkazalli Adams concentrates her practice on consumer finance litigation, representing national mortgage servicers, lenders, securitized trusts, and other financial institutions in all phases of state and federal civil litigation, appeals, bankruptcy proceedings, and regulatory matters.
As a member of the consumer financial services team, Ms. Adams works on a variety of consumer finance litigation matters, including disputes under TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA and FDCPA, state law UDAP claims, and a variety of common law claims.
In addition, Ms. Adams previously handled insurance matters for two of the nation’s largest personal line insurance providers in connection with investigations into healthcare billing and automobile insurance fraud. Prior to civil practice, Ms. Adams prosecuted violent crimes as an Assistant District Attorney in Massachusetts.
During law school, Ms. Adams was a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court.
Successfully handled an appeal to the Utah Court of Appeals, in which the Court of Appeals affirmed judgment and held the trial court’s discretion to find that exhibits attached to the unlawful detainer complaint constituted initial disclosures in compliance with Utah state eviction procedures.
