Michael Meehan focuses his practice on regulatory and compliance issues in the area of financial services.
As a member of the Consumer Financial Services team, Mr. Meehan regularly advises financial institutions on a variety of regulatory and litigation matters, including disputes and compliance issues under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”), the Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”). Mr. Meehan has extensive experience with regulatory, compliance, and policy issues arising under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, as well as regulations promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Mr. Meehan also represents emerging and middle market companies in various corporate, transactional, and real estate matters.
While in law school, Mr. Meehan was a special projects editor of The Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, and served as a teaching assistant to the Dean of Legal Writing. At Princeton University, Mr. Meehan graduated with a B.A. in Politics, with a certificate in Political Economics.
COMMUNITY SERVICE & AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Meehan is actively involved in the Firm’s pro bono efforts, with a focus on programs geared toward the elderly. He is also a member of the Malvern Preparatory School Alumni Board.
